Just before Christmas I decided to finally treat myself to some Spectrum makeup brushes. They had 30% off everything on their site and although I really wanted the 12 piece white marbleous set, it was unfortunately sold out so I went for the 5 piece set instead. If you haven’t heard of Spectrum brushes before, they sell individual brushes as well as sets and they’re all gorgeous!
I’ve just noticed these brushes have come back in stock today, so be quick as they sell out almost instantly.

Firstly, it was obviously the packaging that drew me to these brushes, the bloggers dream brushes – marble and rose gold! I loved photographing this set as they’re so beautiful it really didn’t require that much effort! The set includes 5 gorgeous brushes including everything you need from base application to a highlight finish.

A00 is the Luxe Powder brush that is perfect for bronzer all over the face. The grey bristles are super soft on the skin and would also be perfect for a finishing powder. I’ve been using C07, the Luxe Tapered Sculptor, for my blush and again it works really well. It could also be used for highlight but I like to have a separate blush and highlight brush so I don’t end up with glistening cheeks. A02, the Angled Foundation brush, has been my go to liquid foundation brush since this set arrived. Again, the grey bristles are super soft and any foundation glides across my skin. A05, the Precision brush, is perfect for contouring. I’ve always struggled to find a really good contour brush and this is the best I’ve come across so far! Finally, the C02 which is the Flat Top Contour brush is the only one I haven’t used yet as I don’t often use cream products. However, I will be cracking out the Chanel bronzing base in the Summer so this brush will be perfect to contour with using that.

I’m obsessed with these brushes, they’re such good quality and when you work out cost per use they’re an absolute bargain! I haven’t noticed one bristle that has shred and they’re still as soft as when they first arrived. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy more brushes from Spectrum, the quality and cost (plus gorgeous designs) are a huge hit with me. My only problem is I now have even more makeup brushes to wash!

Have you made any purchases from Spectrum Collections?
