Its been too long since I blogged! I seriously don’t know where time has gone, my maternity leave is going so fast. At the moment, I don’t have much time to myself hence the lack of blog posts but I’m going to try and get better! Before we went away at the beginning of the month, the lovely people at CaseApp sent over my gorgeous personalised phone case* and a few skins* for my MacBook. They also want to give one of my lucky the chance to win their own case or skin too!

CaseApp Giveaway

I love my personalised phone case as it has all my favourites on it but I also couldn’t resist a marble and pink case with this matching MacBook skin! The personalised cases are so easy to design, I’d recommend doing it on a laptop rather than a mobile for extra control. You don’t have to choose what I picked, you can pick from all the amazing skins or phone cases from CaseApp. You can also get 20% off any purchases with code EMMA20.

The giveaway ends on the 17th October and CaseApp will send a special code for the winner to design their product. I can’t wait to see what the winner picks! Open to UK residents only.

You may remember I posted about Johnny and I being Nuby UK ambassadors last year, we’re finally here with our first review! As I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding we hadn’t had chance to try out the Nuby Natural Touch Steriliser and Dryer* until last week as I’ve started to express. Nuby have also very kindly offered to give one of my readers their very own steriliser and dryer too, you can enter in the Rafflecopter box below!

We chose the the black version as the Tommee Tippee perfect prep we have is also black so I thought they’d match but it also comes in white. As the name suggests this clever product not only sterilises your bottles and breast pump it also dries them too! When I was only expressing to relieve pressure in the first few days of Johnny arriving, I didn’t bother to dry the pump properly as I wasn’t giving him the milk but I did notice the milk was really watery. However, now that I’m doing it properly I’m drying the pump and bottles in here, it’s a life saver when I’m on my own with Johnny. The product has three functions – sterilise only, sterilise and quick dry and sterilise and super dry. I’m never in a rush for the bottles as I have too many so I go for the super dry to save me drying with a tea towel as I find bits always transfer. You can easily see from the unit which option you’ve selected by the blue light.

Some sterilisers are really ugly and bulky but I love the sleek black design of this especially as most of my kitchen accessories are black so it doesn’t look out of place. The unit holds 5 bottles plus other accessories such as a breast pump. The best factor is that if you keep the lid closed the bottles stay sterile for 24 hours which is great as we don’t need all the bottles within a few hours time. It’s also compatible with all bottle types so don’t worry if you only have one brand and of course you can sterilise soothers in here too. If like me your baby hates being put down, you can easily use this one handed – it’s that simple. This has saved so much time already and will only be used more and more over the next few months as we try to get Johnny used to one or two bottles a day as well as breastfeeding. The giveaway is open to UK residents only and will be sent from Nuby UK.

If you’re a regular reader of Glossy-Boutique.com you’ll know I’ve suffered pretty bad with pregnancy sickness throughout. All those people that told me it’d stop after the first trimester, obviously lied as I’m still sick quite a bit now even at 29 weeks. I think with commuting, this has made it worse that it would be and I’m not sick that often when I’m not in work. However, the first 18 weeks were definitely the worst and how I made it on the bus some days without throwing up, I’m pretty impressed with myself! Myrtle and Maude very kindly sent one of their tummy settler sets* for me to try and also one to giveaway!

MYRTLE AND MAUDE

Myrtle and Maude sell three products which can be bought as a set for £12.99. The first product in the set is the Baby Bump Herbal Tea which has been carefully created to provide a perfect solution for settling your stomach. I didn’t drink much tea in my first trimester and if I did it was caffeine free so this is another option! The tea also contains ginger which is said to be great for stopping any sickness. I’ve lost count of how many people asked me if I’d tried ginger to stop my sickness, it definitely got annoying after the first 20 people! There are 10 teabags in each packet so the set is great value. I’ve found having one when I get to work helps a little.

I love the peppermint bon bons! I’ve been craving sweets since being pregnant so not only do they help me stop feeling sick but they feed my need too! I used to have lemon sherbets on the bus to work which really helped but they’d end up all over my bag so I love that these come in a little tin. The only criticism I have is that I really don’t think they need to be so big!

The final product in the Mumma to Be set are the acupuncture wristbands. In the early days of pregnancy, I wore travel sickness bands to work and the difference was unbelievable, they made me feel so much better. These are very similar as the bands apply gentle pressure to the Nei-Kuan points, which has allowed many people to feel relief. If you also commute, these are perfect for you!

If you suffer with pregnancy sickness (it’s definitely not called morning sickness, it’s all day!) these three products are great to use all together or individually if you prefer. Myrtle and Maude are currently crowdfunding and are kindly giving away a £30 gift bag to anyone that invests £15 into the company! If you would like to invest, once you have done so, just email them to let them know and they’ll send out your goodies.

Finally, I also have a set to give away which I’ve decided to do on my Twitter page. To win your own set, follow myself and Myrtle and Maude on Twitter then just retweet my tweet here.

Have you suffered with pregnancy sickness before?

Apart from my pregnancy announcement, I haven’t published any pregnancy/baby posts as of yet so what better way to start than with a giveaway! I was very kindly sent the Izziwotnot Gift Wicker Moses Basket* and as they accidentally sent the wrong colour at first they have let me keep both so I can host a giveaway on Glossy Boutique.

I’d not heard of Izziwotnot before which is strange seeing as they are local to me, located in Manchester. As we’re not finding out the gender of our baby, I opted for the grey moses basket with the matching grey rocking stand. I think the Gift Wicker baskets are probably the most classy baskets I’ve seen and I couldn’t be happier with it. We have opted to decorate the nursery with a grey and white theme and even though my moses basket won’t really be in there, it’ll be in our bedroom for the first 6 months, I’m still hoping for everything to be in the grey and white theme.

My basket came with a soft foam mattress, cute white blanket and a cuddly comforter! I also love that the basket has a hood canopy which will be ideal if any sun is shining through plus it just makes the basket look even nicer. It also has leather handles so the basket is easy to move round the house dependent on where I am and all bedding is 100% cotton. By the way the pastel blanket is from Mamas and Papas.

As I said, I’m giving away a moses basket but in all white. This moses basket includes a mattress and white blanket only but the stand is available separately on their site. I didn’t want to photograph the winners prize as I wouldn’t want it to get dirty but check out Izziwotnot to see what the all white basket is like. Basically the wicker is white where mine is grey.

The giveaway is open in the UK only and will run for 3 weeks which gives you enough time to enter!

I love when other bloggers host a US beauty giveaway as it gives me the opportunity to try and win something different so I thought I’d pick up a few pieces for one of my readers! I bought products that we’d struggle to get in the UK but also a few products from brands we can get but new products that aren’t available here yet.

US Drugstore Giveaway

US Giveaway

Drugstore GiveawayStarting with the Revlon HD lip in Passion, I had to get one of these as I tried mine and loved it straight away. These have just been released in the UK since I returned so I’ll be buying a few more shades. Sticking with lip products, I know NYX are pretty easy to buy now but I still think of them as a US only brand! This butter gloss is shade Peaches and Cream and is a pretty pink. I did buy quite a few lip products for the giveaway but I know everyone wants to get their hands on a Sephora lip stain and this is shade Pink Souffle (I swatched mine in my Sephora haul here) As I said in my haul, the lasting power of these are amazing, I couldn’t get it off my arm after the swatch and this colour will suit everyone. With this being a blogger giveaway, I obviously needed to include rose gold. This concealer/highlight from Physicians has the most beautiful packaging and I won’t lie I did buy it just for that. However, Physicians have a great reputation so I’m sure the product is just as good!

I also bought this cute Milani eye palette for myself and one for the giveaway! I love the colours of this palette and they look so silky! Finally, I picked up a few bits from Bath and Body Works because as UK readers will know, we can’t get these either! The first is a candle in scent Sundrenched Mango and a hand gel in Copacabana Coconut which I know a lot of people love! I really enjoy holding giveaways on Glossy Boutique so I hope whoever wins love everything I picked! To see all the drugstore products I bought see yesterdays post here!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

The giveaway will run until Friday 22nd April and will be posted within 5 days of the winner sending their address. The giveaway is also open internationally!

Good Luck!
