With not long until the big day, I thought I’d share my unique gift picks for this Christmas. If you’re still struggling to find that perfect gift, hopefully I’ve found something to make that buying process a little easier.

Festive Drinks

Who doesn’t love a festive tipple over Christmas and even better if they’re festive themed like these two from Greene King. Rocking Rudolph**, a full bodied beer with redcurrant and blackcurrant flavour, is available from Aldi whilst you can get your hands on Old Mulled Hen**, a warming cinnamon ale, from Nisa or Morrisons. These are great stocking fillers for those in your life that enjoy a good ale.

If you’re more of a spirits person, this gorgeous gin set** from The Lakes Distillery is for you. Each bauble contains 5cl of high quality gin and can be hung on your tree! The set contains x2 hand-filled 5cl gin baubles of The Lakes Gin, x2 5cl baubles of Lakes Sloe Gin Liqueurs and x2 5cl baubles of Lakes Damson Gin Liqueurs. They also do the same set but with vodka or whiskey. Such a lovely present, even if they don’t make it on your tree!

Beauty Products

The perfect beauty gift for myself would be these fab Lypsyl balms**. I’m always applying lip balm especially in the winter when my lips are dry. They’re really handy for keeping in your bag as they have a mirror in the compact too. The lip balm is SPF15 and is packed with shea butter, vitamin E and aloe vera. There are 4 flavours available – original, mandarin, vanilla and orange blossom.

Another option is of course perfume and I love these two new scents from Monsoon and Accesorize. Rose Gold** has the most gorgeous packaging along with the scent to match, juicy top notes of citrus to create a real feminine scent. The Lovelily fragrance** from Accessorize has fruity notes but the packaging is what steals it for me, it looks stunning on my dressing table. Both look so expensive but are so reasonable!

7th Heaven have also got some great gift sets available this Christmas including this Top to Toe Treats tin**. I’ve just included a few of the sachets but you actually get 12 sachets and a tin to keep them in all for under £10. As the name states, the sachets are for all over the body including foot masks, hair masks and face masks.

I’ve been loving Vichy** products recently too and they’re a great idea for that make-up lover in your life. I’ve particularly been loving their setting powder as I’m always rushing around it ensures my foundation doesn’t start running down my face! I’ve also been using their dermablend concealer that is amazing at covering up blemishes! It’s really easy to apply as it’s creamy and blends into the skin without looking cakey which I find with some similar concealers.

Technology

Who remembers when phones were just that and there was no social media distractions? The Nokia** 3310 allows you to talk, text and take snaps of your loved ones over the festive period. Not everyone wants an all singing, dancing phone so this is perfect for those that just want to make calls or have a cheeky game of Snake. The phone has had a 2017 makeover and is available in many bright colours including red, yellow and blue. It’s also great as a first phone for your children.

Azoomee is a great gift for the little ones. It’s an amazing app** for our little ones that gives access to educational films, tv shows and games all in one safe place. There are no ads and no in-app purchases which means we won’t receive any unexpected bills. Johnny has enjoyed watching the shows on my phone and it means I can do a few jobs whilst he’s occupied. Use the code FAMILY at checkout for 50% off a yearly subscription.

Children’s Gifts

As it’s Johnny’s first Christmas, I’m trying to start a few traditions this year. The first being his Christmas eve box that I made and his Christmas eve book** which I’ll read to him each year. Penwizard very kindly sent over a personalised Snowman book which is perfect. I could even pick his hair colour and skin tone, although I had to guess at his hair colour as he still doesn’t have much! Your child will love reading this traditional story even more when they actually feature in it! Use GLOSSY20 at checkout for 20% off personalised books (see T&Cs below*)

I’ve been MIA since returning from my holiday in Barcelona but I’m trying to get back on track. I always seem to lose motivation with blogging after a holiday and it takes me a while to get back into the swing of things! We had an amazing first family holiday with Johnny, so much so we’ve already booked another holiday for September to Tenerife! Another first coming up is Ryan’s first Fathers Day! Mr Nutcase kindly offered to send an early gift over for him so I chose a photo of the four of us on a gorgeous mug.

Mr Nutcase Gifts

I’m really struggling for ideas for Fathers Day gifts, Ryan is so hard to buy for! I’d like to get him something special as it’s his first one. Mr Nutcase has some great ideas including the personalised mug or even a phone case where I can put some photos of Johnny on. I love personalised gifts so Mr Nutcase is perfect for special, unique gifts. They have so much choice including glasses and even newspaper books, I’d love this rugby one!

It’s really easy to use the site too to create your personalised gift. Simply choose the product you’d like, I chose the latte mug* as it’s a cute shape and different to anything we own. You can then choose your image from Facebook, your computer or Instagram which is always handy. From that, you can add text, colour or even use more than one image if you can’t decide on just the one. I chose an image of all our little family, you may even be able to spot Daphne being used as a scarf for Ryan! The mug is made from ceramic material meaning the photo won’t fade as quick and its also heat resistant and dishwasher safe.  I know Ryan will love his Fathers Day mug and I’m on the hunt for some more personalised gifts to make his day extra special.

Have you got anything planned for Fathers Day?

I must have mentioned so many times how I still need to post my nursery room tour but I just haven’t got round to it yet! Instead I thought I’d write about a few gifts we were sent for the nursery from Prezzybox. They have some gorgeous personalised and non personalised baby gifts for new arrivals or just if you want to treat your little one. I love the personalised books and also the art that would look lovely in any nursery.

I haven’t ever framed Johnny’s scan photos so I chose this adorable frame* with the quote ’20 Weeks – the size of a banana’. I used to take a photo of my bump every week with the piece of fruit/veg for the size of the baby. This can be personalised to whatever you want which is what I love about Prezzybox. The neutral white frame will look lovely in the nursery as we’ve kept it gender neutral for hopefully baby number 2! This can be hung on the wall or it just stands up on it’s own. It would be a lovely baby shower or welcoming gift for someone special.

I also chose this light box* for Johnny’s nursery. Although this isn’t a personalised gift, I think he’ll love it once he moves into his own room. The cube projects stars and soft sounds which is perfect for Johnny as he loves staring at lights. You can choose whether you wants lights, sound or both plus it has a 30 minute timer so it won’t wake the little one up once he’s nodded off. It’s very calming and is similar to white noise in that it makes me sleepy too! The stars don’t show up too bright on the ceiling so it isn’t too distracting for Johnny, just enough to send him off to sleep.

Have you spotted anything from the Prezzybox baby range?

I Just Love It are a personalised gift site and literally have something to suit everyone. They very kindly sent a few products when Johnny was born and I’m absolutely in love! It took so long for me to chose these pieces for his nursery but I’m made up with them both.

As I said, I Just Love It sell personalised gifts but other items too so I went for one personalised and one not. Johnny’s nursery has a strong safari animal theme to it so I chose this cute elephant frame* personalised for him. The frame has his name, weight and date of birth which are all the important details about his birth. We just received our newborn shoot photos back so I need to get one printed for this gorgeous frame! This is the perfect welcoming gift or even christening gift. The frame is made from a really good quality wood and just stands up without the need of a stand at the back.

I’ve always wanted a rocking horse* for when Johnny is older but they’ve all seemed really expensive. However, this one from IJLI is so reasonable at less than £60 and is made from a lovely cord material. It was really easy to attach the rocker, even for me! The horse is finished with a brown sadle and matching bridle. Johnny is a little young for this at the moment so it will just be a gorgeous decoration in his nursery for now but there’s no doubt he will love rocking on this. I’m a real paranoid mummy as I’m sure most of us are but this is so sturdy and well-built I’d be completely fine with leaving him on it once he’s older.

As I said, I love these two items from IJLI and there was so much I could I have chosen. If you’re looking for a gift for a special occasion, you will definitely find the perfect one from IJLI.

Have you spotted any gorgeous gifts from I Just Love It?

I’ll admit Ryan and I aren’t the most romantic couple when it comes to buying gifts for each other. We don’t normally buy Valentines presents, I’m happy with just a card so when Prezzybox got in touch to see if I’d like to pick some gifts for him, I thought it’d be nice to finally treat him.

Ryan likes trying different wines especially reds so I thought he’d love this instant wine decanter and aerator* as normally he just lets it breathe for hours before. By using this aerator it helps to bring out the natural flavours and aromas. It also means you don’t have to prep the bottle for hours by letting it breathe as this does it much better and is an instant process. This is great as we don’t need to sit around and wait for the wine to be ready, no one wants to wait for a glass of red after a hard day! Each time we fancy a glass, you just need to hold the decanter over the glass and pour, really simple! If you’re after a present for that wine lover in your life, I’d really recommend this. It also comes with a sediment filter and stand so it can be left next to the wine bottle ready for your next glass.

I also knew that Ryan would love the scratch and sniff guide to becoming a wine expert* from Prezzybox. Of course, he likes the taste of wine but he also likes reading the detail about the particular wine he’s drinking. Written by top sommelier, Richard Betts, there are 16 different scents in the book which will hopefully help you discover the notes of your wine. The book is written in a really fun way with little writing but big, clear illustrations to help in learning about wines. I must admit even I’m interested about where different wines originate from so I found that particular page really interesting. Again, a great present for anyone that thinks they’re a wine connoisseur.

Prezzybox also very kindly sent Johnny some bibs! I love how neutral these Zippy bibs* are and we’ll definitely be using them once we start using bottles. I love the elephant one, I’m obsessed with safari animals as it is. They’re made from 100% pure cotton and are adjustable so will still be great when he’s a little bigger.

What’s on your Valentines wish list from Prezzybox?
