With not long until the big day, I thought I’d share my unique gift picks for this Christmas. If you’re still struggling to find that perfect gift, hopefully I’ve found something to make that buying process a little easier.

Festive Drinks

Who doesn’t love a festive tipple over Christmas and even better if they’re festive themed like these two from Greene King. Rocking Rudolph**, a full bodied beer with redcurrant and blackcurrant flavour, is available from Aldi whilst you can get your hands on Old Mulled Hen**, a warming cinnamon ale, from Nisa or Morrisons. These are great stocking fillers for those in your life that enjoy a good ale.

If you’re more of a spirits person, this gorgeous gin set** from The Lakes Distillery is for you. Each bauble contains 5cl of high quality gin and can be hung on your tree! The set contains x2 hand-filled 5cl gin baubles of The Lakes Gin, x2 5cl baubles of Lakes Sloe Gin Liqueurs and x2 5cl baubles of Lakes Damson Gin Liqueurs. They also do the same set but with vodka or whiskey. Such a lovely present, even if they don’t make it on your tree!

Beauty Products

The perfect beauty gift for myself would be these fab Lypsyl balms**. I’m always applying lip balm especially in the winter when my lips are dry. They’re really handy for keeping in your bag as they have a mirror in the compact too. The lip balm is SPF15 and is packed with shea butter, vitamin E and aloe vera. There are 4 flavours available – original, mandarin, vanilla and orange blossom.

Another option is of course perfume and I love these two new scents from Monsoon and Accesorize. Rose Gold** has the most gorgeous packaging along with the scent to match, juicy top notes of citrus to create a real feminine scent. The Lovelily fragrance** from Accessorize has fruity notes but the packaging is what steals it for me, it looks stunning on my dressing table. Both look so expensive but are so reasonable!

7th Heaven have also got some great gift sets available this Christmas including this Top to Toe Treats tin**. I’ve just included a few of the sachets but you actually get 12 sachets and a tin to keep them in all for under £10. As the name states, the sachets are for all over the body including foot masks, hair masks and face masks.

I’ve been loving Vichy** products recently too and they’re a great idea for that make-up lover in your life. I’ve particularly been loving their setting powder as I’m always rushing around it ensures my foundation doesn’t start running down my face! I’ve also been using their dermablend concealer that is amazing at covering up blemishes! It’s really easy to apply as it’s creamy and blends into the skin without looking cakey which I find with some similar concealers.

Technology

Who remembers when phones were just that and there was no social media distractions? The Nokia** 3310 allows you to talk, text and take snaps of your loved ones over the festive period. Not everyone wants an all singing, dancing phone so this is perfect for those that just want to make calls or have a cheeky game of Snake. The phone has had a 2017 makeover and is available in many bright colours including red, yellow and blue. It’s also great as a first phone for your children.

Azoomee is a great gift for the little ones. It’s an amazing app** for our little ones that gives access to educational films, tv shows and games all in one safe place. There are no ads and no in-app purchases which means we won’t receive any unexpected bills. Johnny has enjoyed watching the shows on my phone and it means I can do a few jobs whilst he’s occupied. Use the code FAMILY at checkout for 50% off a yearly subscription.

Children’s Gifts

As it’s Johnny’s first Christmas, I’m trying to start a few traditions this year. The first being his Christmas eve box that I made and his Christmas eve book** which I’ll read to him each year. Penwizard very kindly sent over a personalised Snowman book which is perfect. I could even pick his hair colour and skin tone, although I had to guess at his hair colour as he still doesn’t have much! Your child will love reading this traditional story even more when they actually feature in it! Use GLOSSY20 at checkout for 20% off personalised books (see T&Cs below*)

Yep I did it, I mentioned the C word in October but as it’s Johnny’s first Christmas I need to get organised! I’m so excited for Christmas this year but also slightly dreading it as it’ll be closer to going back to work and leaving JJ. Last year I was hoping Johnny wouldn’t arrive early as he was due on the 7th January but if he’d had arrived before Christmas I wouldn’t have been organised at all. It means this year I can really go all out on the baby’s first Christmas bits and make it one to remember! I know he’ll have no idea what day it is but it matters to me that we have the best Christmas, the first as our little family. I’ve loved Christmas ever since being small myself thanks to my family making it such a special time so I want to do the same for Johnny. I’ve already bought, made and been sent a few bits so I thought I’d show you what I have so far!

Christmas Eve Box 2017

Personalised Christmas Eve Box

I’m not really that crafty but I’m pretty impressed with my DIY Christmas box I just need to fill it with bits now! So far I’m thinking cute Christmas pyjamas (I’ve already bought some Christmas sleep suits!), a cute Christmas film, a cuddly christmas comforter or teddy bear and maybe some baby sweet treats. If anyone has any other ideas what I could include, do let me know! This box took a lot longer to make than I’d originally planned but its been worth being able to add my own touch to it. I may have also made one for my dog too…

Personalised Christmas Sack

I’m not planning on buying a lot for Johnny this year for a few reasons. He will get so much bought from family and friends plus if he needs anything I’ve just been buying it when he does. Also, it’s his birthday two weeks later so I’ll run out of what to buy! However, he still needs a personalised sack just to put his small presents in plus it can be saved for many years to come. I’m also considering a stocking just to start a tradition with but again I’m not sure yet as what to put in so please let me know any ideas. I really love the traditional hessian sacks, I can’t wait until Johnny’s old enough to understand all about Christmas!

Personalised Christmas Decorations

I really wanted to shed a tear when this beautiful decoration* arrived from Betsy Benn, they sell some amazing Christmas Ornaments and it was really hard to choose just one. I eventually went for the wooden tag that is a letter from the big guy himself. I love that it has the date stamped on too to show Johnny’s first Christmas. It’s just such a special keepsake that I’ll be putting on my tree every year. My favourite part of the letter is the mention of the man in the moon as when I was small my Grandad always used to mention the man in the moon so it’s so sentimental. I love that Christmas tree decorations can be sentimental yet still look gorgeous on the tree and Betsy Benn really have so many beautiful pieces. They have given Glossy Boutique readers 10% off their site, just use Glossy10 at the checkout. You can find many gorgeous gifts on their site for every occasion and family member.

Betsy Benn is a homegrown family business in London. I absolutely love their products including the many Christmas products as well as stunning prints and gifts. The quality of this decoration is amazing for just £14, you can tell each product is made with the greatest care. I can’t wait to get it up on our tree once December arrives!

Have you got anything special lined up for your little one?

Ryan woke me up early yesterday morning, I say early but it was like 10am to tell me my John Lewis Secret Santa gifts had arrived! At the moment I’m awake most of the night thanks to the general end of pregnancy problems so I’m lying in quite a lot! Anyway, he knew how excited I was about this collaboration so I didn’t mind him waking me up. I’d already been told I’d been teamed up with Cash from The Comeback Mum and I couldn’t wait to see what gifts she’d picked out.

First up was this gorgeous Vera Wang ‘With Love’ trinket box*. I think this is such a lovely gift to receive as I would’t think of purchasing and spending that much on a gorgeous designer item like this. Sometimes it’s just so lovely to receive an item like this that I’ll cherish and it’s super luxurious, I love the pearl effect on the lid! I’ve never owned anything from Vera Wang, infact I didn’t even realise she had a homeware range like this. The Vera Wang for Wedgwood range also includes homeware products like plates, glasses and frames which all make gorgeous gifts!

I’ve heard so much about the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish* so I’m really excited to use the Christmas version with Orange and Cloves! This really is Christmas in a bottle, it smells so nice and festive. The set includes the limited edition Orange and Clove Hot Cloth Cleanser 150ml plus 2 pure muslin cloths. This has amazing reviews on the John Lewis website with many saying it’s even nicer than the original. I love the festive packaging too and really is a perfect gift idea for that special lady in your life (or just treat yourself!)

My final gift from Cash was a set of 4 Joules mugs*. These 4 eye-catching mugs are definitely enough to brighten the mornings and will come in particularly handy for my cravings of raspberry tea at the moment! They come in a cute box so are perfect as a gift too. I love the Joules collections and products, the sausage dog ones are super cute too!

I thought I’d also let you know what I bought for Cash incase you’re struggling for gift ideas. I did a little stalking of her blog to see what she would like and spotted she had a little girl so I thought she’d love the Buster teddy! I also picked this cute gingerbread man kit which I thought Cash and her daughter could enjoy together over the Christmas holidays! Beauty wise, I opted for a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Miranda May (who doesn’t love a bit of CT!?) and the Kiehl’s Jeremyville body gift set. I’m hoping Cash is a chocolate lover as I also chose a hot chocolate set and some Charbonnel et Walker White and Champagne truffles. Finally, I picked this stunning Ted Baker notepad and pen which I think is an absolute bargain at £15, it’s so pretty! There’s still time to click and collect orders to John Lewis or Waitrose stores. There’s also an option for next day delivery if you order by 8pm tonight too and if that fails you can still brave the stores.

I hope this post has given some more gift inspiration if you’re feeling last minute! This is probably going to be my last post before Christmas now so I want to wish readers a very Merry Christmas and I hope you enjoy the time with your families. Who knows, we may have a new addition to our family the next time I post!

Have a Very Merry Christmas!

I can’t believe Christmas is only 2 weeks away! I thought it was about time I put together a few gift guides starting with a gift guide for her. I’m sure we all have that special lady in our life whether it be your mum, sister, friend or why not just treat yourself!? If you’ve still not finished your Christmas shopping, hopefully you’ll spot something in my gift guide.

Gift Guide for Her

First up is this beautiful Ted Baker Otillia bag. Although, it probably looks more suitable for Spring/Summer I’d definitely use it all year round as it just shouts luxury! I treated myself to the Spectrum Marbleous 5 piece sculpt set and I’m so impressed! I have a review coming up soon on here but I can guarantee any lucky lady will love these! As a blogger, I obviously love rose gold. I don’t know what it is with this stereotypical view that bloggers love rose gold but for me it’s 100% true! I love this Tweezerman set which includes a pair of their beautiful slanted tweezers, eyelash curlers and a cute bag.

I treated myself to the Anthropologie initial gold mug last year and I love it. It’s great especially for hot chocolates as it holds a lot. Luckily, I’ve started my maternity leave now but I used to be so cold waiting for my bus to work every morning and these grey mittens from ASOS would have been perfect to keep my hands toasty. I’m hoping these are under my tree for my winter walks with Daphne and the baby. I definitely need some new GHD straighteners and of course I love the rose gold ones! Any lady in your life would love this set as it comes with the styler, a Nails Inc nail varnish and protective case.

You’ll need to be quick to pick up the Soap and Glory ‘The Whole Glam Lot’ set as it’s currently on offer from £60 to £30! The gift includes 10 full size products and you’re bound to make someone very happy if you treat them to this! For a cheaper gift, I love this Etsy Star ring. It’s so simple yet pretty and perfect for any jewellery lover. I love my Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow so the fact this set comes with her powder and sculpt brush is fab!

I’ve still not tried any Pixi products and really love the look of this set for £20. The set includes their Glow Mud Cleanser (15ml), the famous Glow Tonic (30ml) and Glow Mud Mask (15ml) so you do get quite a bit for your pennies! If you have a big budget to spend on that special woman, I’d recommend the beautiful Chloé drew wallet. I love the blush pink colour and it’s super luxurious. I need to win the lottery to treat myself to this beauty. Finally, if you saw my Delilah Cosmetics post you’ll know I’m now obsessed with their products. Their Pure Light set includes 3 of their illuminating powders and a powder brush. If this is as good as their other products I’ve tried, I can highly recommend!

What would you include in a Gift Guide for Her?

Although I obviously won’t be drinking cocktails this Christmas, I’m still excited to glam up and have a few date nights with some yummy food with my husband before baby arrives. If you’ve been to Liverpool before, you’ll know the girls always looks fab and glam! Therefore, I feel like I also need to look the part when heading to restaurants in Liverpool*, despite being pretty heavily pregnant!

Every pamper has to start with a bath for me! A hot, relaxing bath filled with my Laura Mercier honey bath in creme brûlée is my favourite. This product produces the best bubbles and smells amazing, definitely one I’ll always repurchase! Whilst in the bath, my Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing masque prepares my skin for make-up by removing any dead skin and draws out dirt to soothe my skin.

I’ll also be sticking to my trusty Ogario and their Revive and Shine products make my hair feel and smell amazing! Their newest addition to my collection, the Revive and Shine conditioner*, with hibiscus and horsetail shines, smooths and detangles my hair without weighing it down.

Once out of the bath, it’s time to glam myself up a little! Luckily, I haven’t felt down about putting weight on whilst being pregnant as I know it’s all for a good cause! However, I still like to try and make myself feel and look better with make-up!  I don’t usually wear falsh lashes much but always tend to around the festive season and I’d probably feel a little out of place if I didn’t wear them in Liverpool! My current favourites are the MAC 32. They’re super natural but just give me that extra confidence and add a little more glam! The only thing I hate about MAC lashes is that they don’t come with glue so you do need to buy that separately.

To prime my lips before adding a bright festive colour, I use the Dr. Lipp Nipple balm which I’m just obsessed with at the moment. It has a thick texture so helps nourish my lips and I don’t think I’d be without this now, especially at this time of the year plus I can’t help giggle at the name (childish I know!) Finally, one of my must have feel good products for Christmas parties is a glitter eyeshadow! My favourite is Lucky Penny from Sephora as it doesn’t need glitter glue and isn’t too out there! I normally just lay it over a neutral eyeshadow for the perfect sparkle without looking like a Christmas tree!

What are your Christmas Make-Up and Pamper Tips?
