Baby| Summer Infant SwaddleMe Review

I was contacted just before Johnny was born to see if we’d like to review the Summer Original SwaddleMe and as I’d heard great reviews about swaddling in general, I thought it’d be worth a go! I’d read on Eilidh’s blog (which you need to check out by the way!) that she’d also been using Velcro swaddles to help her baby, Oliver, to sleep and they worked amazing! We were told at the hospital, swaddling wasn’t recommended anymore as it can cause hip issues but after speaking to Eilidh she thankfully told me these swaddles were fine as they still have enough room to move their little legs!

SwaddleMe Review

As I mentioned in my Snoozy Bear review, Johnny hates being put down to sleep but thanks to that and these pods, we’re both sleeping so much better now! Our current routine when we go to bed is a nappy change, I then swaddle him and put him in his Chicco Next2Me. I then lean over his bed to breastfeed and he goes straight to sleep! We used to do the exact same before using the Swaddles and he’d wake up himself up as he’s always flinging his arms and legs about. These have made such a difference, they’re worth every penny.

I went for the stretchy safari set* which includes a plain mint green one, a safari animal one and a patterned one. The multi packs are great incase we have an accident in the night, I don’t have to rush around washing and drying it for the next night. They’re also great for keeping Johnny still when he’s feeding and keeping his hands out the way. If your baby wakes up when you put them down, give these swaddles a go. They also look super cute in them, like a little cocoon!

Have you tried any Summer Swaddles?

Ta Ta for now,

Those swaddles look absolutely adorable! We have bought a sleeping bag for our baby, but swaddling sounds so tempting as well 😀 I need to look into these!
