I can’t believe Johnny is now over 2 weeks old, it really has gone so quick. I’m loving being a mummy and I’m learning something new about my new role every day. Of course I’m tired and I haven’t washed my hair much in the last 2 weeks but I wouldn’t change it for the world. That being said I think I deserved a treat this week especially as it was my birthday yesterday so it was lovely to receive January’s MamaMe Box through the post. This is a subscription box for mummy’s to give them a little treat and pick me up.
Firstly, the box looks really pretty and comes with a little booklet showing what’s in this months box. January’s box consisted of 5 items, the first being a gorgeous Hobo Soy Candle in lemongrass and coconut. The packaging is stunning with the metal case but I particularly love the wooden burner, I’ve never seen anything like it before! I hadn’t heard of this brand before but I’d definitely love to try some more scents from them, I really can’t fault anything about it. The box also included a little treat for Johnny which was the Kokoso premium baby coconut oil. This has come in really useful as Johnny does have a bit of dry skin on his hands and feet. Our health visitor recommended using rapeseed oil on his dry skin but this works well too.
Also in the box is a Wish Upon A String ‘You Got This Mama’ bracelet. Basically you make a wish and once the bracelet snaps the wish is supposed to come true. Not sure if that would actually work but it’s a cute bracelet to wear and nice addition to the box. I think my favourite product (along with the candle) has to be The Native State inspiration cards. I love the inspirational quotes but they’re also so pretty for blog photo props! Finally, my box includes a Squirrel Sisters raspberry ripple bar. The bar is a raw energy bar and is gluten and dairy free. They contain cashews, dates, sultanas and almonds so are super healthy!
The MamaMe boxes* are available to buy as a one-off for £25 or as a 3,6 or 12 month subscription. As a new mummy, this was a lovely treat to receive so if you’re having a baby soon or know someone who is, this is a great gift.
Would you sign up for the MamaMe box?
Ta Ta for now,
