A few weeks back I had a bit of a naughty splurge on the Space NK website. I’ve been trying to save as much money as possible before baby arrives but I’ve literally felt ill since week 6 of this pregnancy so I decided it was time I treated myself! The final decider was that they had an offer on when you spend so much, you received their advent calendar for free which included a £50 gift card plus lots of goodies I can’t wait to try! After much deliberation, I decided to buy a lot of Delilah Cosmetics products, a brand I never really hear much about! All their products had amazing reviews on the Space NK site so I thought it was time to try something new. I also bought a few other bits from separate brands but I’m going to talk about those products in a different post.
First up is the Delilah Time Frame Future Resist foundation which has an SPF 20. This had excellent reviews on the site so I really wanted to give it a go. This foundation is a lot lighter than I thought it would be but I do use extra to build up the coverage. I use around 4 pumps on the back of my hand and then apply with a kabuki brush. My skin looks flawless but I do need to use extra concealer if I have any spots. I went for shade pebble and it’s more or less a perfect match. This aims to protect your skin against sun and environmental damage thanks to the SPF and vitamin A and E.
I also bought the Delilah Cosmetics Under Wear Future Resist base as I read this was amazing under the foundation and I did need a new primer. This has the same benefits as the foundation hence the same name but it also softens the appearance of imperfections. The primer sinks well into the skin and the foundation glides over it perfectly. However the foundation is still amazing without this and a cheaper primer alternative would be just as good.
The packaging of all these products are beautiful specifically the bronzer case. It comes in a little pouch to help prevent any scratching and I love the rose gold detail along the side. I’ve bought a few bronzers since my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil ran out but nothings ever compared! However, this is right up there with the best as again it’s really natural looking but it can be applied with a heavy hand for a contour if that’s what you’re looking for. It doesn’t look cakey but actually blends in so well and feels luxurious on the skin.
I’m not a massive eyebrow girl but I fancied trying the Delilah Cosmetics brow line to add a bit more definition to my face. Again, this got amazing reviews so for £20 I thought it was worth a try. I haven’t used the eye brow product much yet but so far so good. The colour is perfect for me and really fills in any gaps without looking too much. It’s also really handy to have the brush on it too. The formula isn’t chalky or oily but glides over any gaps in my brows perfectly.
Finally, I’ve been after a new mascara so I bought the Delilah defintive volumising mascara. When I first opened it the brush looked ideal, big with thick bristles! I’m loving this mascara, after a few coats my lashes look so long yet still really natural! It doesn’t dry my eyes out at all but does need a good eye remover to get it off which I don’t mind as it doesn’t budge through the day. From what I can see this brand is more focused on working with celebrities than bloggers which is why I probably haven’t read or seen much about Delilah Cosmetics. I don’t have a bad word to say about the products and they’re fully accessible in Space NK so the mind ponders at why they aren’t more raved about! Maybe I’ve just been living under a rock!
Have you tried anything from Delilah Cosmetics?
